Connection
Language Learning is about new Connections
At the heart of learning a new language is the constant attempt to build new connections. These can be with fellow students, your teachers, or in the area of your brain where new information is stored. But it is even more than all of these. Another language is an avenue to another mentality, another culture and to how things may be said or done differently in other places. Sometimes, this is obvious when you look at the specific alphabet where you find letters and sounds that do not exist in English and all the more so when you learn a non-European language.
All of this may make you vulnerable and prone to mistakes.
Yes, mistakes will happen, but who cares?
